STAY CURIOUS

“…the routine of staying curious…

sparks of creativity happen all the time, anywhere and in between moments. I just collect them all and apply them to the right project at the right time. My mind wanders and unfolds while working…”My artwork is deeply inspired by nature and transformed into bigger scale installations where I give simple things like sticks or dirt a new way of life. I like my art to be touched, felt and experienced.

“…I most likely start a project without having an end result in mind…I rather know what

emotions

I want to evoke. It always starts there. What story do I want to tell. I trust the process and I trust myself. I even enjoy the roadblocks... they always take me to the next level…”

Work

“…being creative, creating, engaging my hands in work is a way to process whatever else is going on in my life. It’s the place where I feel most connected to myself and can make sense of the world around me…”

In my latest adventures I feel very drawn to explore sculptural art and experience all angles…taking things off the wall and putting them in a more vulnerable place

”the middle of the room”

no hiding, no wall to back it up

Take a look behind the Scenes

The energy of a workplace has a huge impact on my work…I feel most inspired in an environment that allows for imperfection and mistakes. I can handle chaos better than order……and I prefer the unknown over an overly detailed plan - it gives me a sense of freedom to explore… Nature is my biggest asset and inspiration. It’s the ordinary things, the simple things, things that are often overlooked that I implement in my work. Sticks, rocks, leaves, wildflowers…everything that is right in front of us. From building tepees to designing dinner parties in the woods or creating custom art for private homes…I find inspiration, materials and peace in nature.
